Senior QA Engineer – Lead Testing Strategy – Freelance or Interim payroll
Our client is seeking a Senior / lead QA Engineer to establish and lead a robust testing strategy from the ground up. This role involves both technical testing and UAT, ensuring a high-quality user experience and seamless platform performance.
You will define and implement end-to-end (E2E), smoke, unit, and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create a scalable QA framework. If you’re proactive, hands-on, and eager to take ownership of QA leadership, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a QA strategy covering E2E, UAT, smoke, and unit testing.
Implement and maintain manual and automated testing procedures.
Write Cypress (JavaScript) tests to automate and streamline QA processes.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to identify potential risks and ensure quality.
Define test cases, test scripts, and documentation to support ongoing development.
Lead testing efforts and introduce best practices to optimize QA workflows.
Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and platform stability.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in a lead role.
Strong background in E2E testing for web and app-based platforms.
Expertise in automation testing, particularly with Cypress (JavaScript).
Ability to define and implement testing frameworks from scratch.
Familiarity with various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Experience with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar testing tools.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership over QA processes.

Contract: 12 months (Freelance)
Freelance: €65-75 ph
Interim Payroll: €5000 pm
