Legal Engineer Jobs in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India at Jurisphere.ai

Title: Legal Engineer

Company: Jurisphere.ai

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

About the Role

We are looking for a Legal Engineer, someone who is as comfortable stress-testing an AI output as they are advising a client. This role sits at the core of our product, bringing together legal rigour, quality assurance, and client success.

You will act as the legal conscience of our platform, making sure what we build is accurate, defensible, and genuinely useful for lawyers who rely on it every day. If you are excited about shaping the future of legal practice from the inside, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do

Legal Quality Assurance

  • Take ownership of end-to-end legal QA for the platform, including designing test cases, reviewing AI outputs, and validating features before release
  • Identify legal inaccuracies, logical gaps, and edge cases in AI-generated content across areas like corporate and employment law
  • Build and maintain a structured QA framework with test scripts, issue logs, regression checklists, and legal accuracy benchmarks
  • Work closely with engineering teams to triage and prioritise legal bugs, clearly separating critical legal risks from UX issues
  • Continuously audit platform outputs against evolving laws, court rules, and legal practice standards
  • Analyse customer usage data and conduct competitive research to help shape a user-focused product roadmap

Legal AI Prompt Engineering and Workflow Automation

  • Design and refine system prompts to improve accuracy, tone, and legal relevance of AI tools
  • Collaborate with corporate and in-house legal teams to build automated workflows that reduce time spent on repetitive tasks

Client Onboarding and Training

  • Lead tailored onboarding sessions for corporate counsel and in-house legal teams
  • Work with clients across Indian and international markets, gaining exposure to cross-jurisdictional practices
  • Translate platform capabilities into practical value for each client, helping drive adoption and long-term engagement

Product Feedback and Collaboration

  • Represent the voice of the legal user by turning client pain points and QA findings into structured product recommendations
  • Act as a bridge between customer-facing teams and product development, ensuring legal integrity throughout

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a lawyer with 3–5 years of experience in corporate or in-house practice who is curious about technology and how it can improve legal work. You do not need to code, but you should think clearly, communicate well, and enjoy working at the intersection of law and product.

Must Have

  • LLB or LLM with 3–5 years of experience in corporate or in-house legal practice
  • Strong skills in legal drafting, compliance, and advisory work with the ability to quickly spot weak legal outputs
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with clients and cross-functional teams
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to translate real legal problems into product insights

Nice to Have

  • Experience in legal operations or product environments
  • Exposure to AI tools, prompt engineering, or workflow automation
  • Familiarity with tools like Notion, Slack, Linear, Loom, Customer.io, PostHog, Navattic, Phoenix Cloud, or HubSpot

Why Join Us

  • Work at the intersection of AI and law, helping shape how legal professionals work
  • High ownership and visibility, with direct impact on product direction and client outcomes
  • Exposure to international clients and multiple jurisdictions, helping you build a global network
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team that values both legal expertise and creative thinking
  • Competitive compensation and strong growth opportunities
