Job Title: Level II UT Certified Quality Control Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Technician. The ideal candidate will perform nondestructive testing (NDT) using ultrasonic methods to evaluate the integrity of materials, components, and structures. This position requires a strong commitment to precision, safety, and quality standards in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on various materials and components to identify defects, discontinuities, or anomalies.
Develop and set up UT inspection techniques and calibrate equipment for accurate testing.
Ensure compliance with ASME, API, or AWS codes and customer specifications.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to the Quality Control Manager.
Qualifications:
Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Certification in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ISO 9712, or equivalent.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Strong understanding of NDT techniques, including UT principles, acoustic properties, and material science.
Proficiency with UT equipment and associated software.
Additional NDT certifications (e.g., MT, PT, RT, VT) highly desired.
Experience with phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) or automated ultrasonic testing (AUT) required.
Knowledge of safety and quality management systems (ISO 9001, OSHA, etc.).
