Job Summary
The Manufacturing QC/QA Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all products meet the highest standards of quality, comply with industry regulations, and meet customer expectations. The QC/QA Manager will lead a team to implement testing procedures, identify areas for improvement, and ensure continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Assurance: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of QC/QA processes to ensure consistent product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Product Testing & Inspection: Develop and conduct testing protocols for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Review inspection reports to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, ASTM, etc.), as well as company policies.
Team Leadership & Training: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of QC/QA technicians and inspectors. Provide training on quality standards, testing procedures, and compliance requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify trends, patterns, or potential quality issues and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing processes. Lead continuous improvement projects and contribute to efficiency enhancements.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of quality inspections, non-conformities, audits, and other quality-related activities. Prepare and present reports on product quality and performance to management.
Collaboration with Manufacturing: Work closely with production teams to identify quality issues early in the manufacturing process and collaborate to resolve them in a timely manner.
Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance and ensure that materials meet quality standards before being used in production.
Audit Management: Coordinate and support internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance with required standards and regulatory agencies.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with product quality and safety. Implement contingency plans to address potential quality failures or delays in production.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field. Certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ certifications) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with at least [X] years in a leadership or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Strong understanding of quality control systems, methodologies, and industry standards.
Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards (ISO, FDA, etc.).
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address quality-related issues.
Proficiency with quality management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Minitab, etc.).
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position located at Corona, CA.
May require occasional travel to supplier or customer locations.
This role may involve time spent on the manufacturing floor to inspect production processes and ensure quality standards.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $87,000.00 per year
