Role Summary
We are hiring an experienced machine technician to support the HLP 250 cigarette packing machine. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and performance optimization of the machine to ensure smooth, uninterrupted packing operations. Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with the HLP 250 — we are not providing training for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Independently maintain and troubleshoot the HLP 250 cigarette packing machine
Resolve issues with carton feeding, overwrapping, tear tape alignment, tax stamp application, and pack ejection
Perform preventive maintenance including:
Lubrication and tightening
Sensor calibration
Inspection of glue heads, heater units, foil feed, and carton alignment systems
Support format changes between SKUs and adjust settings for different pack types (soft/hard, 10s/20s)
Respond rapidly to faults to minimize downtime and support high-speed production continuity
Replace or repair worn parts (belts, rollers, foil cutters, etc.) and update maintenance logs
Monitor machine performance and assist in reducing reject packs and misfeeds
Work closely with production and QA to maintain pack quality and consistency
Participate in scheduled shutdown maintenance and overhaul work
Maintain stock of critical spares and escalate part shortages to the Maintenance Supervisor
Requirements
Hands-on experience working on the HLP 250 packing machine is required
Minimum 2 years’ experience in cigarette factory maintenance or packing line support
Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting and minor electrical/pneumatic interventions
Ability to interpret machine manuals, fault codes, and part diagrams
Able to work rotational shifts and provide support during breakdowns and shift handovers
Familiarity with sealing, wrapping, and alignment systems typical of HLP models
Preferred
Technical diploma in mechanical, industrial maintenance, or mechatronics
Experience working with high-speed production and packaging equipment
Understanding of quality control issues related to cigarette packing (e.g., seal integrity, tax stamp placement)
