We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Machined Parts Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of machined components through rigorous inspection processes. Responsibilities
- Conduct dimensional inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) including PC-DMIS programming.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify part specifications and ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Utilize CAD software like SolidWorks for reviewing design specifications and supporting quality assurance processes.
- Perform visual inspections and dimensional measurements in accordance with established quality standards in production, including ASME codes & standards.
- Program and operate CMMs and other measurement systems to perform complex dimensional inspections on machined components.
- Document inspection results accurately, generate detailed reports, and communicate findings clearly to production teams for corrective actions if necessary.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process deviations and recommending solutions aligned with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant quality management systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality control or inspection within aerospace manufacturing or similar high-precision industries.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, GD&T principles, and machining processes.
- Proficiency with measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), including PC-DMIS programming skills.
- Familiarity with quality standards including AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and relevant ASME codes & standards.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in machining or manufacturing environments utilizing CNC equipment or manual machine operation.
- Ability to analyze complex schematics and technical drawings accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting inspection results and collaborating effectively across teams.
- Technical proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks is highly desirable.
