Biomedical Device Consultants & Laboratories (www.bdclabs.com) is a fast-growing company that offers comprehensive medical device testing services, designs verification test equipment, and produces silicone mock vessels to the medical device community in support of domestic and international regulatory submissions and approvals. Our primary focus is cardiovascular technologies such as endovascular stents, prosthetic heart valves, and catheters. YOUR ROLE AS A DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE
As the Full-Time Director of Quality Assurance at BDC Laboratories, you will be the maestro orchestrating compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ensuring our Quality Management System (QMS) operates like a well-oiled machine. You’ll champion the Quality Policy and Objectives, maintaining a dynamic QMS by establishing KPIs and ensuring every process is meticulously followed. With your analytical prowess, you’ll present timely management reviews to top brass, showcasing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Your strategic mindset will ensure our Quality Systems program not only meets but exceeds customer expectations while adhering to budgetary constraints. Additionally, you’ll play a crucial role in regulatory inspections, supplier evaluations, and customer complaint resolutions, while also nurturing your quality team through training and mentorship. REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE JOB
To thrive as the Full-Time Director of Quality Assurance at BDC Laboratories, you must wield a potent blend of skills and experience! A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or engineering field is your foundation, complemented by at least 6 years in Quality Systems or a related arena. Your lead auditor certification for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 will be your badge of honor, showcasing your commitment to excellence. You’ll need the ability to drive projects forward, from inception to completion, along with supervisory experience to motivate and cultivate your team. A deep understanding of quality system requirements-particularly ISO/IEC 17025 and 21 CFR Part 58-is essential.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, 21 CFR Part 820 and Part 11, and ISO 13485 will set you apart. To cap it all off, bring your organizational prowess, stellar analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) software for optimal success!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or engineering field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Systems or related area.
Lead auditor certification for ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Ability to effectively drive project schedule and objectives from project initiation to completion.
Supervisory experience and proven ability to effectively motivate manage and develop personnel.
Excellent understanding of quality system requirements including ISO/IEC 17025 and 21 CFR part 58. Experience in ISO 9001,21 CFR Part 820 and Part 11, ISO 13485, and other relevant international standards highly desirable.
Must be organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong verbal and writing skills and good interpersonal and leadership skills.
Proficiency with a Windows environment and electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) software
