Manager, QC Jobs in Middletown, VA at Thermo Fisher Scientific
· Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, cGMP, SOP’s, and good housekeeping policy/practices.
· Controls and Tracks Product Standards creates, and updates standards as needed for first time production.
· Performs aesthetic, physical inspections, and any other special tests specified by DL and/or Customer.
· Knowledge of how to use the following equipment; Chatillon Gauge, Torque, Balances.
· Knowledge in ANSI/ASQ and MIL-STD Inspection Standards ruler
· Read/understand Production Master Work Instructions to assure line is set up properly with Production team to ensure line fulfillment is stable to assure quality and integrity of the product is maintained throughout the run.
· Detailed oriented to evaluate packaging artwork and finish good products to compare against standard for defects.
· Must be capable of coordinating/ pulling samples for testing as required by the product specification for outside Analytical, Micro Laboratory testing, and customer samples.
· File/store all in-house retains for all products/packaging daily and assures all samples are properly identified / labelled.
· Operate iPAD, train on using RedZone program.
Performs in-process checks on iPad in RedZone, provides feedback/comments as well of any issues that may arise during product run. Maintains a written record of inspection results on appropriate forms for each assigned test and inputs final status in computer system.
· Assists with Production with Line Trials, document line run in RedZone, provide feedback to Project Managers for Work Instruction updates.
· Reports any defects found during inspection to Sr. Quality Inspector and/or Director of Quality or designee; documents findings accordingly in RedZone.
· Communicates Reject status of any in-process or finish good lots to Director of Quality and Production Manager and assist in proving information for any OOS or Non-Conformance/Investigation as needed.
