Purpose
GreyOrange is seeking a Manager – Quality Assurance with 10–12 years of experience in Supplier Quality and Product Assurance within robotics, automation, or industrial machinery. The role requires strong engineering expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive product stability, defect reduction, and supplier development across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Product Quality Ownership
- Own end-to-end quality for assigned robotic products and suppliers.
- Drive supplier quality performance, audits, and development actions.
- Lead CAPA for field, supplier, and internal quality issues to closure.
- Ensure sustained product stability through data-driven quality controls.
FAT, Validation & Release Readiness
- Plan and execute FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) at supplier factories.
- Participate in regression and validation testing prior to product release and FAT.
- Ensure release readiness by preventing defect leakage to customer sites.
Customer & Field Quality
- Act as the single quality point of contact for technical issues from customer sites.
- Lead root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions with Engineering and suppliers.
- Drive continuous reduction of defect leakage and repeat failures in the field.
Engineering Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering teams during design reviews, ECNs, and change releases.
- Provide quality and manufacturability inputs to improve robustness and serviceability.
Plant Operations Support
- Support plant operations, including robot refurbishment, rework, and quality gates.
- Ensure refurbished products meet defined quality and reliability standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics) from a reputed institute.
- 10–12 years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong focus on Supplier Quality.
- Prior exposure to robotics, automation, or industrial machinery is preferred.
Required Skills & Tools
- Strong engineering fundamentals in electromechanical systems, robots, or machinery.
- Proven expertise in root cause analysis, CAPA, FAT, and validation testing.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and JIRA (or equivalent tools).
Travel & Work Expectations
- Willing to travel internationally to customer sites (US, Europe) and supplier locations (China).
- Comfortable working with global teams across time zones while based in India.
