Job Title: Quality Manager

Deliver Egypt’s first High Speed Rail Service with DBEE. DBEE is a joint venture between DB International Operations and Elsewedy Electric. DB International Operations provides rail operations and maintenance worldwide; Elsewedy Electric, global energy and infrastructure solutions provider. Together, we combine strong local capabilities with proven global railway expertise to enable efficient, safe and sustainable passenger and freight mobility on Egypt’s first High Speed Rail network. We are looking for transport and mobility professionals with substantial experience in railway operations and projects in Egypt or worldwide. Join us to deliver this landmark project.

We are looking for you as early as possible as Quality Manager (Internal) for DB-El Sewedy Railway Operation Egypt for the primary location Cairo.

The role:

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Project Quality Management System (QMS) for a major high-speed rail project in Egypt.

This role ensures that all engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning activities meet contractual, regulatory, and international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, EN rail standards) while supporting the delivery of safe, timely, and cost-effective projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other applicable railway standards to ensure consistent delivery of safe and reliable operations and maintenance services.
  • Establish and enforce quality policies, procedures, and control systems across operations, maintenance, and support functions to maintain high service standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Plan and conduct internal, external, and customer audits to verify compliance with quality standards, identify non-conformities, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and evaluate core operational and maintenance processes, to ensure adherence to quality requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality performance data to identify trends, prepare management reports, and recommend data-driven corrective and preventive measures.
  • Manage customer feedback, complaints, and satisfaction surveys; work closely with internal teams and suppliers to address concerns and enhance service quality.
  • Oversee supplier and subcontractor quality performance, including audits, material/parts inspection, and ensuring compliance with required quality standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis for quality issues, promoting a culture of quality, and operational excellence across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree / MBA in a relevant field.
  • ISO 9001 Auditor course or certification
  • Proven time management and organizational skills, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation skills, capable of delivering clear and concise insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good understanding of the business operations of a passenger railway operation and maintenance company, or equivalent industry knowledge, enabling effective analysis and recommendations.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and managing multiple projects.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, enabling effective communication.
  • Fluent in Arabic, facilitating seamless communication with Arabic-speaking individuals.
