About the role
PKL Services Inc. is contracted to maintain and operate Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15SG and United States Air Force (USAF) F-15E aircraft and equipment assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing (FW) located at Mountain Home AFB (MHAFB), Idaho. PKL employees at this site are subject to a Union/Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) regarding employment terms and work rules.
The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible for monitoring all aspects of quality for aircraft and equipment maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
Document, implement, maintain, and continuously improve a comprehensive Quality Management System/Quality Control Plan (QMS/QCP) that ensures compliance with all requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Conduct aircraft, component, support equipment, and maintenance personnel inspections and evaluations. The QCI shall assess maintenance training effectiveness and unit compliance with technical and procedure directives and identify trends that inhibit mission accomplishment.
Will be familiar with contractual requirements, DAFI 21-101 standards, and PKL’s QCP to inspect work done and evaluate performance of PKL personnel.
Will be responsible for documenting inspection/evaluation observations, exchange of information, safety observations, type of equipment used, weather or site conditions impacting work.
Responsible for ensuring quality maintenance has been performed with the use of proper technical data.
Train team members in the methods and techniques for inspecting contractor performance in all functions of the contract.
Act as the focal point for coordinating inspection schedules, analysis of inspection results, corrective actions, and reports.
Take remedial and corrective actions for all non-conformance issues (minor, major and critical) identified during government surveillance.
Use the Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Program (MSEP) and QCP for guidance.
Record inspections performed in PKL QMS.
All other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager.
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a USAF maintenance Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC).
Hold a minimum of a 7-skill level in a USAF maintenance AFSC.
F-15E experience highly desired.
Well-rounded maintenance background in Air Force Maintenance Programs.
Quality Assurance/Weapons Standardization/QCI experience highly desirable.
Ability to research, read and interpret drawings, technical manuals, and directives.
Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Wage: $43.27 per hr.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud at times.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key).
Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions.
May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area.
This position requires normal physical functions.
Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
Normal color/depth perception.
