Location: (Hungary) – Budapest – 3 days a week, Contract B2B and Permanent(Full-time)
Job Description: Manual QA Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with hands-on experience in testing user interfaces, checkout systems in Retail, base images, and end-to-end workflows. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality by designing, executing, and documenting test cases across complex retail and transactional environments.
Key Responsibilities
- UI testing: Perform functional, usability, and browser testing for web and mobile applications.
- Checkout system validation: Test multi-format checkout flows, payment gateways, discounts, and transaction integrity.
- Base image testing: Validate container base images for compatibility, dependencies, and reproducibility across environments.
- End-to-end testing: Execute scenarios covering customer journey from login to order completion.
- Test case design & execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and maintain regression suites.
- Defect reporting & tracking: Log issues with clear reproduction steps, collaborate with developers for resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, development, and QA teams to ensure timely releases.
- Documentation: Maintain test artifacts, checklists, and contribute to QA knowledge base.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies: SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle.
- Hands-on API testing tools: Postman, Swagger, or similar.
- UI testing expertise: Web/mobile platforms, responsive design validation.
- Checkout/payment systems: Familiarity with POS, payment gateways, and transaction flows.
- Base image validation: Experience testing Docker/container base images for reproducibility and dependency integrity.
- Bug tracking tools: JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent.
- Cross-team communication: Clear reporting and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail/e-commerce systems.
- Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
