Piper Companies is hiring a Manual QA Tester for a small company local to Durham, NC. The Manual QA Tester will work on end-to-end testing and needs to be meticulous and detail-oriented. The Manual QA Tester will need to sit on-site 3 days per week in Durham, NC, and this role is not able to provide sponsorship.
Responsibilities for the Manual QA Tester:
Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure quality.
Conduct end-to-end testing to validate the complete workflow of applications, ensuring all components and systems work seamlessly together.
Perform API testing to verify the integrity and functionality of backend services, ensuring they interact correctly with the front-end systems.
Document and report bugs, issues, and defects clearly and concisely.
Collaborate with developers and product managers to resolve issues and ensure software meets requirements.
Conduct regression testing to validate that fixes do not affect existing functionalities.
Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and review meetings.
Requirements for the Manual QA Tester:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and practices.
Experience with end-to-end testing and API testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Compensation for the Manual QA Tester:
$60,000 – $80,000 base salary
