Job Overview:

Our Client, A Major Enterprise, is seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our team on a 1-year W2 contract. The ideal candidate will have experience testing web applications and working with tools such as Postman, MongoDB, JIRA/Confluence, TestRail (or similar test case management platforms), LaunchDarkly, Swagger, and Figma. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure a high-quality user experience and robust software performance.

Responsibilities:

Perform manual testing of web applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and performance meet business requirements.

Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans using TestRail or other test case documentation platforms.

Document, track, and manage bugs and defects using JIRA/Confluence.

Conduct API testing using Postman to validate backend functionality and integrations.

Query and analyze MongoDB databases to verify test data and troubleshoot issues.

Validate feature flag behavior in LaunchDarkly to ensure controlled rollouts and experimentation.

Review and validate API documentation using Swagger to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers and validate designs using Figma to ensure alignment with product requirements.

Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to provide clear testing feedback and improve software quality.

Identify and advocate for process improvements in testing workflows and quality assurance practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in manual QA testing for web applications.

Proficiency with Postman for API testing.

Experience working with MongoDB for querying and validating test data.

Strong familiarity with JIRA/Confluence for bug tracking and documentation.

Hands-on experience with TestRail or similar test case management tools.

Knowledge of LaunchDarkly Feature Flags for testing feature toggles.

Experience working with Swagger for API documentation validation.

Ability to interpret and validate UI/UX designs in Figma.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in agile development and working within Scrum teams.

Familiarity with basic SQL queries for data validation.

Exposure to automated testing concepts (though this role is primarily manual).

Knowledge of CI/CD processes and testing in deployment pipelines.
