We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Manual Testing Engineer to join our client’s growing Quality Assurance team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and driven by quality — someone who consistently asks “why?” and proactively identifies potential issues before they surface.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing complex manual test cases, validating application functionality across multiple modules, and ensuring high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines. We are specifically looking for a senior-level candidate who can self-manage, prioritize effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for new and updated software functionality.
Write complex SQL queries and scripts from scratch for test data preparation and validation.
Conduct thorough baseline, regression, functional, integration, and post-release testing.
Rapidly validate bug fixes and ensure proper defect closure.
Identify, document, and escalate defects with clear and actionable detail.
Ensure all work meets quality standards under strict timelines.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in QA / software testing, with a strong focus on manual testing of complex systems.
Proven expertise in QA methodologies, testing best practices, and defect tracking.
Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries; ability to generate and validate test data independently.
Solid understanding of relational database design, data flows, and testing at the data layer (4+ years).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Practical experience with applying AI tools to improve manual testing / testcase coverage.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities — you naturally ask “why” and seek clarity.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test case and defect management.
Experience in the healthcare industry or insurance billing systems.
