This role is ideal for a healthcare professional with a passion for improving systems, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring the highest standards of care across our facilities.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Quality and Patient Safety, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting quality assurance, patient safety, and continuous improvement programs. This role involves collecting and analyzing data, supporting audits and accreditation processes, and helping frontline teams meet internal and regulatory quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives.
Collect, analyze, and report on clinical quality and safety indicators.
Support the accreditation process and compliance with relevant healthcare standards.
Coordinate incident reviews and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Provide guidance to departments on quality frameworks, risk management, and documentation.
Facilitate education sessions and workshops related to quality and patient safety practices.
Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and tools that promote a culture of quality and safety.
Qualifications
Degree or LPN, Medical Assistant, Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare quality or clinical coordination role.
Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma).
Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., Accreditation Canada, ISO).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education in health care preferred including medical assistant training or LPN
A minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical setting
Autonomous and demonstrates a high level of motivation and flexibility
Highly organized with ability to keep accurate notes and records
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook email and billing software: Athena
Knowledgeable of ICD-10 and CPT coding
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
