Position Summary
We are looking to expand our quality department with dedicated, knowledgeable individuals to help the company maintain and grow to meet the challenges of our current and future customers. This position is for a Quality Inspector that will play a critical role in ensuring that manufactured and assembled components meet rigorous aerospace standards. The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections, documenting results, and supporting our team’s delivery of high-reliability hardware. We offer a climate-controlled quality lab with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and hand tools to ensure that we meet the needs of our customers. Safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are valued greatly.
Responsibilities
Develop and run programs for CMM
Responsible for First Article Inspections (FAI)/Final Inspections
Verify quality of parts related to all inspection/audit levels
Review customer supplied drawings and specifications to determine critical dimensions and requirements
Complete documentation required for conformance to customer specifications and/or internal procedures
Communicate non-conformances to respective managers or shift supervisors, determine necessity for MRB and obtain signatures as required for completion of Nonconformance Reports
Maintain traceability of parts, materials, and processes in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements
Participate in audits, continuous improvement efforts, and quality team initiatives
Support additional duties and assignments as required by management in alignment with team and project needs
CMM Programmer Requirements
Ability to program on PCDIMS software
Ability to program MCOSMOs (Mitutoyo CMM)
Quality Inspector Requirements
Required knowledge of measurement hand tools (i.e., calipers, OD Mics, indicators, etc.)
Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
Strong ethical behavior
Attention to detail and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environment
Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems
Knowledge of inspection for additive manufacturing or composite materials
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, and move between workstations throughout the day
Able to lift to 30 lbs. and handle delicate hardware with care
Work is performed at on-site facility
Must be available to workday or night shift
