Location: Coldwater, Michigan
Available Shifts:
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM
- Occasionally overtime
At GCI, quality is at the center of everything we produce. We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Quality Department as Quality Control Inspectors. This role is responsible for ensuring all products meet company and customer specifications while supporting a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
Position ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance
- Inspect parts and processes to ensure compliance with company quality standards
- Verify machine quality performance after repairs or adjustments
- Ensure all production equipment is producing parts within specification
- Complete and maintain required tracking and inspection paperwork
- Understand part specifications, quality procedures, and quality flow charts
- Communicate quality concerns and production information with team members and leadership
- Report all findings and concerns to the Quality Manager or Quality Lead
Daily Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-shift meetings
- Communicate key production and quality updates to associates
- Input and maintain production-related data accurately
- Notify Quality Control leadership of any quality or production concerns
Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
- Monitor work areas to ensure safe working conditions
- Participate in required safety training and maintain safety awareness
- Report potential safety hazards immediately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Report environmental or housekeeping concerns as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push or pull totes weighing up to 80 lbs
- Ability to lift or manipulate castings weighing up to 20 lbs
- Ability to work in a hot, dusty, and industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
- Manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred, but not required
- Basic understanding of quality assurance processes is preferred
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
