Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to strengthen our Quality department. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving our quality standards, supporting both production and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, and ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support quality assurance across all stages of production—from raw material to final inspection.

· Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues (internal and customer-facing).

· Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 and/or customer requirements.

· Assist in creating and maintaining quality documentation, including control plans, inspection reports, and standard operating procedures.

· Conduct internal audits and support external audits (customer and regulatory).

· Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.

· Work closely with Engineering, Production, and NPI teams to ensure quality is built into the process.

· Support calibration, traceability, and quality control of inspection equipment and gauges.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with lean and quality best practices.

Requirements:

· HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

· Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a precision machining or manufacturing environment.

· Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

· Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, NCRs, 8D, and other quality tools.

· Proficient in reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T.

· Knowledge of measurement techniques and CMM use (manual or automated).

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable:

· Experience in aerospace, defence, or medical device industries.

· Familiarity with quality management software or ERP systems.

· Auditor training or qualifications (internal or lead auditor).
