Location: Golden, CO
General Description: Responsible for conducting incoming, in-process, and final inspections utilizing drawings, specifications, and inspection sheets. Generate nonconformance reports and communicate with internal cross-functional teams of Project Engineers, Buyers, and Project Managers. Contribute to the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions. Set up and operate measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Conduct internal process audits for compliance with Parkson’s Quality Management System.
Verify that all necessary paperwork required for quality release is supplied by vendors. Review customer documentation for quality requirements.
Essential Functions:
Review specifications for quality requirements, document and communicate these to Sales and Project Management to ensure technical requirements and costs are captured.
Once projects are in house, create RFIs, ITPs, submittal packages to achieve customer approval. Ensure project execution aligns with the approved plan during manufacturing.
Support enforcement of quality requirements throughout the supply chain for outsourced items and on the manufacturing floor for in-house items.
Ensure compliance of projects with applicable codes, practices, policies, standards, and specifications.
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of Parkson equipment.
Create inspection reports for inspections conducted at supplier sites.
Participate in or conduct quality management system audits at suppliers and Parkson offices using ISO 9001 standards.
Manage non-conformance reporting, analyze quality issues, conduct root cause investigations, and determine corrective/preventive actions.
Facilitate continuous improvement activities across the company.
Conduct supplier audits to assess their capability to provide consistent, high-quality products.
Track supplier performance related to quality metrics.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred, with 3-5 years of experience.
Experience:
Experience with process improvement, procedure development, supplier audits, inspection, and testing activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in MS Office.
Experience with ISO 9001 preferred.
Welding inspection experience preferred.
Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and bills of materials.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Strong problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability.
Excellent communication skills, including speaking, writing, group presentations, and conducting meetings.
Licenses and Certifications:
CWI, NACE certification preferred.
Travel:
Ability to travel up to 20%.
