Position Summary

Seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations by driving stable, capable, and compliant production processes. This role partners cross-functionally to improve product quality, reduce variation, and ensure alignment with internal and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical quality resource within manufacturing, supporting process stability and product conformity
  • Drive continuous improvement using quality and Six Sigma tools (SPC, root cause analysis, 8D, capability analysis)
  • Support production in achieving quality, cost, and delivery targets, with emphasis on scrap reduction and first-pass yield improvement
  • Lead and support APQP activities, including development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans
  • Investigate internal and external quality issues, implement containment actions, and lead root cause analysis with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of problem-solving documentation in line with customer and internal expectations
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and applicable industry/customer standards
  • Support audits, corrective actions, and ongoing quality system improvements
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within manufacturing operations

Requirements Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
  • Working knowledge of core quality tools, including SPC, capability analysis, MSA, 5-Why, PPAP, and standard measurement/gauging practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Solid project management and planning capabilities
  • Proven ability to follow established standards, procedures, and quality systems with consistency and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab or equivalent)
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to supporting operations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
