A rapidly growing pharmaceutical company in the Chicago area is seeking a Materials Management Supervisor to oversee and support all warehouse and receiving activities within the Supply Chain Management function. This is a critical role ensuring efficient inventory management and materials control in a regulated GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee warehouse and supply chain operations at the manufacturing facility.
Manage inventory control, including oversight of third-party warehousing for production materials and surplus assets.
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for inventory control software (POMSnet and/or NetSuite preferred).
Prepare and process materials for shipping; manage packaging, labeling, and logistics.
Support material release in collaboration with QA by ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
Perform inventory transactions in ERP systems for receiving and shipment purposes.
Participate in inventory cycle counts and physical inventory.
Handle administrative duties including documentation filing, customer service calls, transportation claims, surplus disposal, and records management.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, GMP regulations, and safety standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a warehouse or supply chain role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP/MES and inventory management systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
Occasional travel may be required.
