Materials Specialist-Quality Control Jobs in Euless, TX at Texas Poly Inc
Tejas is hiring a Materials Specialist–Quality Control to support our Quality Department by testing, measuring, and evaluating incoming raw materials to ensure they meet company standards. You will help manage material complaints end-to-end, including submitting claims, confirming the return or disposal of materials, and ensuring credit and/or CAR documentation is received. You will also verify that corrective actions are completed by suppliers as indicated. Additional Quality Control and/or inventory management support may be assigned as needed.
Reliability, commitment, and a strong attention to detail are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials and verify they meet quality standards.

Approve or reject materials based on established criteria.

Support supplier quality issue management and follow-up as needed.

Track quality complaints and communicate concerns to management.

Help maintain accurate inventory records, communicating any material concerns to operations promptly.

Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and traceable.

Help with Quality Control tasks and documentation as assigned.

Identify opportunities to improve quality and inventory processes.

Maintain reports and tracking spreadsheets using Excel or Google Sheets.
Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Comfortable using computers and Google Workspace.

Willingness to learn new software and ERP systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
-
English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
Schedule
-
Full-time, schedule varies; generally Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, with some Saturdays.

Overtime paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role requires prolonged standing and frequent use of hands and arms, including reaching and lifting or moving materials up to 50 pounds. Employees may also need to walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, or crawl as required to perform essential job functions. You must have sufficient visual ability, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. The work environment may include moving mechanical equipment, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and elevated noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as masks and gloves, is provided as needed, and safety footwear is required.
