Measurement Technician
1st Shift (8:00am-4:30pm)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Measurement Technician Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified, reliable individual to perform inspections of incoming parts and finished goods. Hands-on experience with precision measuring and inspection equipment (i.e. profilometers, calipers, digital microscopes) is a requirement. Candidates must have at least 1 year of on-the-job experience working with these types of precision instruments. Experience measuring roughness (i.e. Ra, Rt) is highly preferred. Candidate must have a solid work history, excellent attention to detail, fine motor skills, good communication skills, strong computer skills, and good organizational skills. Experience handling delicate, highly finished surfaces is a big plus.
Responsibilities are included but not limited to:
- Use a profilometer to measure roughness of pre and post MMP’ d parts
- Use visual inspection tools to identify and record defects
- Maintain calibration records for all inspection tools
- Required to keep work area clean, neat, and organized at all times.
- Required to follow work instruction with 100% accuracy.
- MUST pay close attention to fine details and interact with leadership to identify potential damage to customer parts.
- Ability to perform Job responsibilities in the designated amount of time safely and Accurately.
- Responsible for following the daily schedule to ensure 100% on time delivery to customers.
- Validate 100% sign-offs on all job travelers.
- Accurately communicate all issues to the Production Manager following the designated chain of command.
Requirements:
- Accurately record work steps performed
- Ability to lift 20-70 pounds without difficulty
- Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to correctly position parts for measurement
- Read, understand, and precisely follow written instructions
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel to fulfill inspection reports
- Accurately record work steps performed on job travelers.
- Must be self-directing with ability to work autonomously.
- Strive to continuously improve performance.
- Hold yourself accountable for the success of the company.
- Adherence to Employee Handbook, Safety and Quality Procedures is MANDATORY
- Maintain a strict attendance policy
- US Citizen or Valid Green Card Holder
- Valid Driver License
