JD for Senior Mechanical Inspector:
- Inspect site conditions prior to the commencement of mechanical works and verify readiness for installation activities
- Attend and respond to Work Inspection Requests submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in accordance with project procedures
- Monitor and inspect installation works related to HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, fuel systems, and other mechanical services to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Report and document any non-conforming works executed by the contractor and issue Site Observation Reports (SORs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required
- Verify that materials, equipment, and systems delivered to site conform to approved submittals, project requirements, and manufacturer recommendations
- Monitor contractor compliance with quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures and ensure all inspection and testing activities are properly carried out
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, risk assessments, and statutory regulations during the execution of mechanical works
- Witness and verify mechanical testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, performance testing, and system functional testing
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, site observations, testing activities, progress reports, and corrective actions
- Verify compliance with local authority requirements, international standards, and contract specifications
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports and maintain all project records in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual
- Ensure effective coordination and communication among contractors, specialists, suppliers, and project stakeholders to facilitate timely completion of mechanical works
- Assist senior engineer in review of mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions for compliance with contract documents, project specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practice
JD for Mechanical Engineer:
- Review MEP and mechanical designs from concept through construction and completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local authority regulations, applicable codes, and international standards
- Evaluate material submittals, technical submittals, shop drawings and method of statements for compliance with contract specifications and approved designs
- Review mechanical design calculations including cooling and heating load calculations, ESP calculations, pump head calculations, pipe sizing, duct sizing, hydraulic calculations, and equipment selections
- Assess and respond to Requests for Information, technical queries, and design clarifications raised by contractors and stakeholders
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, specialist consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve design interfaces, clashes, and site-related technical issues. 6. Conduct site inspections and monitor mechanical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and project standards
- Supervise the execution of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, LPG, fuel systems, and associated mechanical services installations
- Review contractor work progress and monitor adherence to the approved project schedule, construction methodology, and quality management plans
- Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, statutory regulations, environmental requirements, and health and safety standards throughout project execution
- Review and provide recommendations on value engineering proposals without compromising system functionality, safety, quality, or operational requirements
- Participate in progress meetings, technical coordination meetings, and site review meetings, providing technical guidance and recommendations as required.
- Witness and supervise testing and commissioning activities for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems to verify compliance with design intent and performance criteria
- Identify design deviations, construction deficiencies, and non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Review closeout documentation including as-built drawings, testing and commissioning reports, operation and maintenance manuals, spare parts lists, warranties, and training records
- Ensure effective coordination between all MEP disciplines to achieve seamless integration of building systems and successful project delivery
