SUMMARY: The Quality Manager drives quality assurance initiatives by organizing, facilitating and supporting continuous improvement activities, lean initiatives, Statistical Process Control (SPC), failure analysis/corrective actions, and auditing of existing quality systems. They will have extensive experience with customer issue resolution, problem solving, managing teams, and be an expert in all aspects of Quality from new product development through customer communication and issue resolution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Analyze trends and advises adjustments needed to maintain a quality product and identify and document processes that are critical to quality
Coordinate the flow of information between customers and production staff regarding quality related issues
Process customer complaints/returns and assist in developing and communicating failure analysis and corrective actions
Establish an internal audit plan and maintain and auditing team that monitors current systems and identify opportunities for improvement
Responsible for ensuring purchased products meet our needs and expectations through inspection, assessment of supplier processes and capabilities and ongoing monitoring of supplier performance
Develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes and controls by developing and modifying quality procedures and processes to achieve targets associated with KPI Metrics and Quality Objectives
Drive quality system improvement by reviewing KPI Metrics, SPC, internal audit results, corrective action responses, CI team progress and customer report cards
Assess customer requirements and ensure they are met
Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality
Responsible for ensuring the monitoring, control, calibration and maintain measuring and test equipment
Directs critical IPC and J-STD training of Engineers and Manufacturing Assemblers
Responsible for reducing cycle time and waste through continual process improvement
ISO 9001 and AS 9100 auditing and certification

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience Years: 5-8 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics
OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Certified Quality Manager (CQM) certification
Microsoft Office and web proficiency
Experience in electronics processing manufacturing
Working knowledge of electronic component manufacturing process
Understanding of application of raw materials
Operation of control systems, test equipment
Knowledge of quality systems and techniques, process control including SPC, team facilitation methods, effective training techniques
Strong investigative and analytical skills
