Embroidery Central is a fun and energetic company looking for an embroidery quality control specialist to join our team. Embroidery Central is a fast-growing company that offers wholesale contract embroidery and heat transfer decoration service across the United States. We create custom items for a variety of clients including businesses, schools, clubs, sports teams, automobile manufacturer, as well as individuals. We are interested in a self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented person to work full-time assisting with custom orders for our clientele.

Embroidery experience is a plus, but not necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY

You will assist embroidery operators in daily duties to ensure our embroidery team is operating efficiently. You will approach product with a passion for quality, an eye for detail, and a desire to provide our clients and their fans with high quality, exciting merch! This is accomplished by working with a team of like-minded individuals every day to complete orders in a timely and efficient manner with low defect rates while maintaining a positive attitude and desire to improve.

DUTIES

Support Embroidery Operators in daily duties by assisting in equipment preparation including changing needles, threads, frames
Actively performing quality control checks
Make sure correct backings and toppings are used for materials being decorated
Read and understand work orders
Time and track all tasks by completing daily activity logs
Perform daily & weekly preventive maintenance requirements
Finalize orders
Inspect embroidered items for quality and accuracy as they are produced
Provide quality feedback to operators and supervisor
Trim, tear, or steam backings and toppings as needed to prepare for customer
Verify counts for all product as produced and packaged

RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and prevent errors
Independently troubleshoot common embroidery errors
Finish daily schedule on a regular basis
Execute work order notes accurately including special instructions
Keep work area and equipment clean and organized
Mentor and cross-train other employees as assigned
Perform other production related tasks and assist other departments as necessary
Operate all equipment safely and precisely

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; work in and around a variety of industrial machinery and presses; bend over, squat, or climb.
Able to frequently move and lift up to 40 lbs when necessary
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Good hand eye coordination
Excellent vision including ability to adjust focus, close vision, distant vision, color awareness, and attention to small details.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively listen and follow instructions.
Solid problem solving skills
Desire to create quality products
Must comply with any company policy of wearing personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, etc. where required
Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on changing schedule demands, including overtime. Schedules and shifts may change throughout the year. Schedule requirements may include working days, afternoons, nights, 1st shift, 2nd shift, or weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
