Role and Responsibilities
CMSP Associates in seeking a Quality Inspector Level 2 with previous manufacturing experience in inspection of aerospace, defense and/or healthcare components.
Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and internal requirements. This role ensures all quality standards are upheld throughout the manufacturing process and supports continuous improvement and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and certification documents accurately.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using various tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gages, comparators, vision systems, and micrometers).
Conduct testing using equipment such as tensometers, hardness testers, rheometers, thermometers, and particle counters.
Execute First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and generate required reports (FAIR, Dimensional Inspection Reports).
Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and final products to verify compliance with purchase orders and quality standards.
Ensure documentation accuracy throughout the production process, including job travelers and shipment paperwork.
Support calibration activities for tools and equipment and maintain accurate records.
Participate in nonconformance reporting, MRB/RMA processes, root cause and corrective action (RCCA), and internal audits.
Provide training to production staff on inspection procedures and quality standards.
Assist with quality department backup duties, shipping/receiving support, and continuous improvement projects (6S, lean practices).
Maintain effective communication across departments and provide timely, detailed reports using Microsoft Office tools.
Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using precision measurement tools.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Basic math and data recording skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior work-related experience preferred.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

2:30pm to 11:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour
