Overview
Hydro One is seeking a Meter & Relay Quality Control Specialist in Mississauga. This position focuses on testing and inspecting metering devices to uphold quality standards. As a temporary hire for 12 months, you’ll conduct compliance testing and troubleshooting for metering and relaying equipment. Your experience with repair and calibration will be critical in this role, ensuring that all devices meet Hydro One and government specifications.
Collaboration with technical personnel will enhance operational success in this agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and inspections of meters and devices
- Complete audits and manage quality records
- Modify specifications and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Assist in developing inspection and test procedures
- Support field staff with technical expertise
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of electrical mechanics and theory
- Experience in troubleshooting and modifying equipment
- Effective communication with suppliers and technical teams
- Completion of Hydro One training modules
- Two-year Electronics Engineering Technician program or equivalent
