Position: Metrology Technician for Automotive Inspections
DBG Canada is seeking a Metrology Technician to focus on automotive inspection and validation using advanced 3D scanning technology. Ensure precision and support product launches with your skills.
As a 3D Scanning & Metrology Technician, you will utilize your extensive experience to conduct inspections and GD&T analysis, verifying the accuracy of automotive components. Collaborate with engineering and production teams and generate detailed inspection reports while maintaining top-notch scanning equipment and calibration standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct 3D scanning using Creaform systems
• Perform dimensional inspections and GD&T analysis
• Identify deviations by comparing scan data to CAD models
• Report inspection findings to engineering and OEMs
• Support reverse engineering and quality issues
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in 3D scanning/metrology
• Expertise in GD&T and automotive inspections
• Familiarity with Creaform, VXelements/VXinspect software
• Skills in interpreting CAD models and drawings
• Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector
