Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support the Supplier Quality-Electronics team in the California Region. This position is located in Valencia, CA, requiring on-site support of multiple suppliers. The role involves working both remotely and on-site at supplier locations.
Position Responsibilities:
Represent Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into proposals and program processes.
Develop quality metrics, design and certification plans to ensure compliance with requirements.
Conduct capability assessments and process validations for supplier selection.
Participate in reviews to incorporate quality attributes into product designs.
Perform analysis, tests, and audits to ensure manufacturing readiness.
Manage material review dispositions for non-conformances and analyze trends.
Recommend corrective actions and contribute to process improvements.
Research contractual and Boeing QMS requirements applicable to programs.
Conduct rapid plant assessments and capability reviews.
Identify supplier capability gaps and improvement opportunities.
Lead or assist in major supplier corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
At least 3 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Supplier Management.
Experience with EN/AS9100 QMS.
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action and failure analysis.
Experience in quality inspection, including FAI, and auditing.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace industry experience.
Experience with Boeing Problem Solving Model and MES systems.
Experience in IPT environment and with AS9100 or similar standards.
