Job Description
Ohio Star Forge is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Inspection Line Operator to join our manufacturing team on the midnight shift. This position is responsible for operating automated inspection and shot blast equipment, maintaining production flow, performing quality inspections, and preparing finished products for shipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor automated inspection lines to ensure efficient production.
- Operate shotblast and material transfer equipment to maintain a continuous flow of product.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and clear minor equipment jams to minimize production downtime.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments, calibration, and preventive maintenance as assigned.
- Package, band, label, and tag finished products for shipment.
- Assemble boxes and other packaging materials as needed to support production.
- Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and labeling.
- Keep work areas, equipment, and surrounding workspaces clean, organized, and safe.
- Participate in required safety meetings and training programs.
Shift Availability
Ohio Star Forge currently has an opening available on midnight schedule. Shift placement and training schedules may vary based on business needs and operational requirements.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or steel industry experience preferred
- Ability to operate or learn forklifts, cranes, grinders, and production equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a production environment for extended periods
Pay: $24.60 – $25.10 per hour
