About the Role
We are building a mobile application (iOS & Android) that extends an existing web platform. We need a detail-oriented Mobile QA Engineer who can independently analyze the web app, map features against mobile, and ensure high-quality parity.
This role requires strong ownership. You will act as the quality gatekeeper between web and mobile, understanding workflows, identifying edge cases, and preventing regressions in a system where correctness is critical.
What You'll Do?
Feature Discovery & Cross-Referencing
- Analyze the web application to understand features, flows, and UI behavior
- Review project tickets to identify new or updated functionality
- Compare web vs mobile implementations and identify gaps
- Maintain a feature parity tracker with status and priority
Manual Testing
- Test on iOS and Android devices, simulators, and emulators
- Validate end-to-end workflows and data consistency
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases
- Test across devices, OS versions, and network conditions
Test Automation (Critical)
- Build and maintain automated test suites for the Flutter app
- Write widget, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Track and improve coverage for critical flows
- Validate API contracts through automated testing
Regression & Release Management
- Own regression testing before releases
- Support release validation for both platforms
- Validate platform-specific features and integrations
- Ensure data integrity across app updates
Bug Reporting & Communication
- Create detailed and reproducible bug reports
- Prioritize issues based on impact
- Collaborate closely with developers on root cause analysis
- Participate in sprint activities
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have
- 3+ years in mobile QA, with Flutter testing experience
- Strong knowledge of Flutter testing frameworks
- Experience with automation tools for mobile apps
- Ability to read and understand Dart code
- Experience validating REST APIs and network behavior
- Familiarity with iOS and Android testing environments
- Comfortable with Git workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with complex workflow-based applications
- Familiarity with web frameworks for cross-platform comparison
- Knowledge of accessibility testing
- Experience with performance testing
- Exposure to cloud-based mobile services
