Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:
As our Quality Engineer extraordinaire, your job is to unleash your superhuman abilities and ensure compliance with Quantic Wenzel’s policies, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with the ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems?standard and customer requirements. You will collaborate with operations, program management, engineering, supply chain, sales, suppliers and customers on quality related issues or continuous improvement initiatives throughout the life cycle of the products and services. You’ll work alongside some of the sharpest minds in the RF and microwave industry. Oh, and did we mention that you’ll be based in the heart of Austin, Texas, where the tech scene is as hot as our BBQ?
Requirements:
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:
Review/audit quality procedures, processes, documents and forms for compliance.
Responds to requests for assistance with quality issues, effectively communicate product and process defects/failures, as well as collaborating with operations, engineering and managers/Subject-Matter-Experts to help investigate root-cause corrective action.
Coordinate with suppliers & customers related to quality issues, trends or corrective actions.
Analyze quality performance and AS9100 metrics/KPIs and lead/facilitate continuous improvement projects to drive systematic change across the organization.
What We’re Looking for in Our Quality Engineer:
Self-Motivated, good communication, organizational/problem-solving skills and multi-tasking.
Works well and accurate under pressure.
Enjoys a Team environment and works with all levels of employees and management.
High ethical standards? You’ve got them in spades.
Skills & Qualifications You Need:
Use of mechanical/electrical instruments, microscopes/gauges, and GDT experience.
Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics/specifications and inspection instructions.
Experience, 2-5 years, with aerospace QMS, AS9100D, and First Article Inspections.
Mechanical/Electrical Engineer degree and IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 inspection experience.
Must be able to work in an ITAR company, and security clearance is a plus.
