About the Role: As an NDT Level III Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our Non-Destructive Testing processes meet the highest standards of compliance and efficiency. You will be responsible for assessing the quality of castings based on company and customer specifications while guiding our NDT personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain the NDT/X-Ray qualification program for Level I, II, and III personnel.

Oversee certification records and proficiency examinations, ensuring all qualifications are met.

Provide training, examination, and certification for NDT staff.

Conduct non-destructive inspections in accordance with NAS
410 and customer specifications, including visual, liquid penetrant, and x-ray inspections.

Participate in production meetings to monitor job progress and resolve any quality issues.

Supervise NDT inspectors to uphold quality assurance and safety procedures.

Collaborate with the QA Manager to schedule and assign NDT inspections effectively.

Generate NDT and QA inspection reports based on organized test results.

Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment.

Assume technical responsibility for the NDT facility, including method selection and procedure approval.

Administer necessary eye exams.

Audit external agencies to ensure adherence to written practices.

Continue professional development by acquiring additional certifications as required.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Abide by all safety and environmental policies.

Be ready to work overtime as needed, and exhibit reliable attendance.

Engage in special projects assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum 4 years as a Level II NDT technician; or 2 years as a Level II with a 2-year degree in Science or Engineering; or 1 year as a Level II with a 4-year degree in Science or Engineering.

Previous NAS 410 Level III certification in RT or PT is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Indoor work environment within a foundry and office settings.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

Travel up to 10%, varying by project needs.

Must use appropriate personal protective equipment as required, including safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
