Summary
We are seeking an experienced Newgen Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking sector, with strong expertise in testing Newgen applications and platforms. The role involves validating workflows, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Testing Newgen Solutions: Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on Newgen applications.
Workflow Validation: Validate the workflows and processes configured within the Newgen BPM (Business Process Management) platform to ensure alignment with banking requirements.
Requirement Analysis: Analyze business requirements, design test cases, and develop test scripts to meet testing objectives.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand and clarify requirements.
Automation Testing: Design and implement automation scripts for repetitive test scenarios using suitable tools.
Compliance and Security Testing: Ensure that applications meet industry standards and compliance regulations specific to the banking sector.
Reporting: Generate detailed test reports, summaries, and metrics to communicate the testing progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in testing Newgen applications within the banking sector.
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking processes, compliance requirements, and workflow automation.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in Newgen technologies (e.g., OmniDocs, OmniFlow).
Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium or similar is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Tools: Experience with defect management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Certifications (Preferred): ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with agile methodologies in a banking environment.
Exposure to other banking technologies and integration testing
