Job Description Summary
Management of Quality KPIs for processing engines through test operations, focusing on reducing test defects and customer disruptions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve world-class quality control and ensure regulatory compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities
Drive lean manufacturing activities at global or local levels, including methods, tools, roadmap systems, elaboration, and deployment. Manage industrial improvement projects such as process improvements, greenfield developments, revamps, extensions, and localization of manufacturing activities.
Expand knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within own discipline to implement functional policies and strategies; continue developing functional expertise.
Understand key business drivers and utilize this knowledge to accomplish work. Recognize how team efforts integrate with other teams and contribute to overall objectives.
Exercise some autonomy in decision-making within a defined framework. Resolve issues requiring good judgment and knowledge, consulting senior team members for complex problems outside established policies.
Maintain strong interpersonal skills. For customer-facing roles, develop and sustain customer relationships, serving as the interface between customer and GE. Effectively communicate technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality, NPI, or assembly/test, plus a minimum of 3 years in related roles.
A&P certification is a plus.
Current active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Experience with FLIGHT DECK tools and processes.
Experience with quality investigation processes such as RCCA, 3×5 Why, 8D, Gage R&R, PFMEA.
