Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Position Overview
We are a leading innovator in sports technology, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mid-Level Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing a variety of software platforms, including Unity-based game/simulation applications, web frontends, and mobile applications, while troubleshooting hardware integrations to ensure smooth functionality.
We’re looking for someone with a proactive mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to delivering top-tier products. This position involves designing and executing test plans, identifying and tracking software issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve overall quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for Unity-based games, web, and mobile platforms.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing across multiple platforms and devices.
Collaborate with developers and project managers to understand product requirements and deliverables.
Troubleshoot and verify hardware integrations for seamless performance within software applications.
Identify, document, and manage defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to improve development and product quality.
Develop and maintain automated testing scripts to streamline regression testing.
Stay current with emerging QA tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance testing efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in software QA, including testing websites, mobile applications, and gaming environments.
Strong knowledge of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
Experience with hardware integration testing and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a passion for quality and a proactive approach.
Familiarity with performance and load testing concepts.
Knowledge of baseball rules, scoring systems, and gameplay mechanics, with the ability to apply this understanding to QA processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Unity game development and testing.
Familiarity with scripting languages for test automation.
Proficiency in SQL and writing SQL queries.
A passion for baseball or a strong understanding of the sport is a significant plus!
