About this opportunity:
The Test Engineer position role is primarily a technical testing role working with a team of wireless software testers, application testers, and developers. The primary objective for this candidate will be to participate in the testing process individually and/or in a group, through development and execution of test scenarios, as well as regression testing and problem reporting on application software products over the verified development platforms.
What you will do:
Perform quality assurance testing on various products, primarily:
Telephony and messaging applications for Android, iOS, Windows and Mac
Physical deskphones testing
Capture network logs and use troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark to analyze protocols, mainly HTTP and SIP.
Capture app and device logs and work with engineers to determine root cause of problems.
Perform smoke, end-to-end, regression and stress tests on apps and devices.
Perform automated testing using our in-house automation tools.
Determine main cause of issues and assign to appropriate group for follow-up
Work closely with development, maintenance, and business teams on requirements, testing plans, and defects
Work with android and iOS smartphones, desk support phones, VoIP and SIP technology
Develop and troubleshoot test cases to ensure proper test coverage
Use test case tracking tools like Testrail
Use bug tracking tools like redmine
Participate in daily and weekly meetings with managers, team members, and clients
The skills you bring:
Bachelor’s degree or related IT experience, with over 7 years of IT experience specializing in testing web based, client/server-based, ERP, CRM, BPM, and mobile application software.
Minimum 7 plus years of experience in test case development, performance testing, and test design, with strong hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle and software testing lifecycle.
Strong understanding of communication technologies and protocols, including 4G/LTE/5G, with domain expertise in Telecommunications.
Basic knowledge of mobile application testing, QA methodologies, Wireshark for packet analysis, SIP protocol, and fundamental networking concepts including IP addressing, home networks, routers, switches, DNS, and firewalls
Skilled in knowledge sharing and collaboration, facilitating effective teamwork and project execution.
Exhibits excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality testing outcomes.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
: $80,400 – $114,000
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
