Operational QA Manager Jobs in Lenexa, KS at CEVA Animal Health, LLC
Job Purpose:
Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies for conformance to company standards. Conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in process and finished product, using a variety of testing devices, statistical control and implementation of procedures to maintain product quality. Works with engineering to maintain quality standards and correct non-conformances among products. 2nd shift position!
Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to the following:
(Must meet all requirements of entry level QC inspector plus the following):
In-depth knowledge of products and production processes
Knowledge of statistical control, design and testing procedures
Willingness to share knowledge freely with Entry Level technicians to increase their inspection skills (conduct training as needed).
Develop measurement plans in FMP/IFS, such as Inspection Master and First Article Reports.
Update and maintain all FMP/IFS records on a continual basis.
Assist MFG Machinist in determining the steps necessary to bring an out of tolerance component into specification.
Communicate on a regular basis with design/sustaining/manufacturing/quality engineering to determine component acceptability.
Work with Supplier Manager and outside vendors to resolve quality issues
Develop measurement techniques and create an automated program for the CMM.
Conduct/document further investigations on non-conforming dimensions by using alternative measurement methods/techniques.
Work with assembly to determine the root cause of assembly failures on the line
Test product and document results as required by Engineering.
Support on Calibration process as needed
Job Requirements:
Ability to read and understand blueprints dimensional drawings and specifications.
Proficient on GD&T as per ASME Standard
Proficient in programing VMM or CMM applying GD&T knowledge/expertise (using 3D models is a Plus)
Proficient in inspection with alternative measurement equipment by using hand tools/calculation method.
Ability to accurately measure parts using precision hand tools.
Strong communication skills. (Written and verbal English)
Strong attention to details.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience in applicable statistics such as Cpk, MSA (GR&R, Attribute Gage, Bias, Stability, Linearity), and others is a Plus
Experience on Zeiss/Calypso CMM Programing is a Plus
Experience in Calibration (managing and executing) is a Plus
Flexible to work in 2nd shift (flexible for 1st shift as needed)
