This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about quality, automation, and continuous improvement in software testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, write, and maintain both manual and automated test cases based on business requirements and acceptance criteria. Primary focus initially is manual testing.
Create, maintain, and improve existing test automation frameworks and test suites to ensure they remain effective and up to date. You will help set up the initial automation framework.
Develop automated regression and integration tests using appropriate tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, NUnit, or similar).
Participate in feature design discussions and contribute a test-first perspective to help shape testable solutions.
Analyze requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure testability, completeness, and clarity.
Execute test plans and conduct thorough manual testing of front-end and back-end application components.
Independently write SQL queries to support data validation and testing of complex data-driven features.
Identify, document, and manage defects throughout the development lifecycle; verify fixes and help maintain overall product quality.
Work within an Agile/Scrum team environment and actively participate in all ceremonies (Standups, Planning, Retrospectives, etc.).
Support off-hours deployments by executing regression and smoke tests, validating production stability.
Leverage CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into the build and deployment process.
Track and communicate test results, coverage, and defects to development and product teams.
Contribute to ongoing QA process improvement initiatives and help champion best practices across the team.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in manual testing and at least 2+ years of experience in test automation.
Proven ability to design and implement manual as well as automated test scripts and frameworks for APIs, UI, and database testing.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies including black box, white box, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Strong SQL skills and the ability to independently write and interpret complex queries.
Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JUnit/NUnit, or similar.
Experience using source control (e.g., Git), CI tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins), and test management tools.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience testing applications in a .NET environment is a plus.
Familiarity with Healthcare EDI transactions and prior experience in healthcare software (HIS) is a strong plus.

A secure home internet connection with speeds >20 Mbps for downloads and >10 Mbps for uploads is required.
The workspace area accommodates all workstation equipment and related materials and provides adequate surface area to be productive.
