What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Inspecting construction activities, materials and workmanship against contract documents, design specifications and regulatory standards
  • Coordinating with site contractors, engineers and subcontractors to resolve design and construction conflicts
  • Managing construction sequencing and schedule adherence, escalating delays and critical path impacts
  • Conducting quality assurance testing, observations and documentation throughout project phases
  • Monitoring and reporting on health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance and incident prevention
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, inspection logs and non-conformance documentation
  • Managing budget tracking, change orders and cost control across construction activities
  • Serving as the owner’s primary representative on-site, maintaining clear communication with project leadership and external stakeholders


What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • 10–15 years of experience in construction inspection, site management, or owner’s representation roles
  • Demonstrated field experience across at least two major infrastructure or capital projects
  • Working knowledge of construction sequencing, quality control, safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA, local building codes)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to interface across multiple project teams
  • Proficiency in construction documentation, scheduling (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and cost tracking tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business or equivalent relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work full-time on-site in the Boston area
