Responsibilities
- Perform precise dimensional measurements using tools such as height gauges, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines to verify product specifications.
- Pack products carefully following established procedures while ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards in production.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections utilizing calibration of measuring instruments and visual inspection systems to detect defects or deviations from specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of measurements, quality audits, and inspection results in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA regulations.
- Assist in the interpretation of manufacturing documents, mechanical blueprints, and production instructions to ensure correct assembly and packaging processes.
- Support quality assurance initiatives by participating in regular audits, data collection, analysis of inspection trends, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to uphold regulatory/legal compliance standards in production while promoting continuous improvement within quality management systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment; familiarity with QA/QC procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Proficiency with measuring instruments such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), FDA regulations, and regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to manufacturing.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for dimensional measurements and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills for identifying deviations from quality standards.
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to interpret technical documentation effectively.
