Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part/Full Time Senior Quality Control Consultant to lead quality assurance efforts across construction projects. This role is vital in ensuring that all building processes, materials, and systems meet rigorous safety, regulatory, and quality standards. As a senior member of the team, you will oversee quality control management, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with construction regulations and building codes. Your expertise will help drive excellence in construction quality assurance, fostering safe and compliant environments from initial planning through project completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans aligned with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Conduct detailed inspections of construction sites to verify adherence to quality control procedures, safety regulations, and building codes such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical, energy, and structural systems.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure clarity and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Lead quality inspections throughout all phases of construction, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Manage data collection processes related to quality metrics, inspection reports, and compliance documentation to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate closely with construction management teams to ensure projects meet quality assurance benchmarks while adhering to federal safety regulations and construction regulations.
- Provide team leadership by mentoring junior staff on quality control practices, interpretation of technical drawings, and regulatory compliance procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in quality control management and construction site oversight.
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations including building codes (plumbing, mechanical, electrical), energy codes, structural systems, and federal safety standards.
- Proficiency with construction management software tools for tracking inspections, documentation, and project progress.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating between teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing teams and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data collection methods related to construction inspection processes and quality compliance management.
