Responsibilities
- Assist with order picking using RF scanners and <PERSON> pick systems to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes safely and efficiently for loading and unloading shipments
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and maintaining detailed logs
- Handle materials with care using appropriate warehouse equipment, ensuring proper storage and organization of inventory
- Support warehouse distribution activities by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily tasks, prioritize workload, and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
- Prior warehouse experience or construction background preferred; familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane, clamp truck, and RF scanners; certification is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy lifting equipment enhances performance in this role
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety standards outlined by OSHA
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Experience in shipping & receiving operations or order picking is desirable
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and operational excellence
