About the Role

Overall responsibility for quality management across the two major production lines at the Vietnam facility. Establish and implement a quality management system tailored to the processes for optical filters and camera cover glass. Coordinate the formulation, decomposition, execution, and review of annual quality objectives. Lead continuous improvement initiatives for key metrics including quality costs, yield rate, customer complaints, and in-process defect rates.

Coordinate the development of incoming material inspection standards, supplier quality control, incoming defect determination, segregation of non-conforming materials, and follow-up on returns/remediation. Establish a supplier quality database and rating mechanism. Lead first-article inspection for production startups, in-process inspections, and the setup of process quality control points. Supervise the implementation of production line operating procedures and promptly intercept batch defects during manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Standardize finished product inspection, warehousing inspection, and 100% outgoing inspection standards.
  • Strictly control shipment quality to ensure compliance with Samsung, Google, and Apple customer admission and shipment quality requirements, and prevent the shipment of batch defects.
  • Lead investigations into in-process defects, batch anomalies, and major quality incidents; conduct root cause analysis; formulate corrective and preventive actions (using 8D/5Why methodologies); and follow through on closure and implementation.
  • Drive process optimization and the introduction of quality tools to continuously improve the yield of optical filters and camera cover glass, while reducing scrap, rework, and repair costs.
  • Responsible for the development, revision, and implementation training of internal quality policies, inspection specifications, and operating standards.
  • Fully responsible for customer quality interface activities, including customer factory audits, incoming material audits, complaint handling, on-site quality accompaniment, document submission, and corrective action responses.
  • Promptly address customer quality complaints, lead internal review and improvement efforts, ensure customer satisfaction and audit pass rates meet targets, and maintain positive customer quality partnerships.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, implementation, and annual audits of the ISO system and customer-specific quality systems at the Vietnam factory.
  • Coordinate the systematic management of quality documents, records, and inspection data to ensure full traceability of quality information.
  • Adapt to local Vietnam factory management regulations and multinational customer quality audit requirements.
  • Responsible for quality department team scheduling, work allocation, performance evaluation, skills training, and talent pipeline development.
  • Standardize departmental daily management processes, enhance the professional competence and sense of responsibility of inspection personnel, and build a stable, high-performing localized quality team.

Qualifications

Education

  • College degree or above, preferably in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Electronics, Materials Science, or related fields.

Industry Experience

  • 5+ years of quality management experience in the optical/glass cover plate and optical filter industry, with 3+ years in a departmental manager or equivalent role. Familiar with the production processes and key quality control points for camera cover glass and optical filters.

Customer and Business Capabilities

  • Proven hands-on experience in major customer engagement, factory audits, and complaint handling with Samsung, Google, and Apple. Familiar with the quality standards of leading electronics customers and the 8D corrective action process. Proficient in the full-cycle operations of IQC/IPQC/FQC/OQC.

Professional Skills

  • Skilled in the use of quality analysis tools such as the QC 7 Tools, 8D, 5Why, and Fishbone Diagram. Familiar with the operation of quality management systems including ISO9001 and IATF16949. Capable of independently developing inspection standards, process control plans, and quality improvement programs.

Language and Adaptability

  • Able to handle daily business communication in English (reading and writing). Adaptable to overseas assignments in Vietnam. Possess cross-departmental coordination, problem-solving, and resilience under pressure. Capable of independently handling major quality anomalies and customer quality disputes.

Overall Qualities

  • Strong sense of principle, clear data-driven thinking, and high execution capability. Proven ability in localized team management, system development, and framework implementation. Candidates with prior experience in overseas factory settings are preferred.
