POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Control Lead Inspector reports to the Chief Inspector for the inspection of work performed to ensure compliance to the FAR’s, RSQCM, and/or data acceptable to the administrator. The Quality Control Lead Inspector is responsible for the supervision of quality control inspectors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be thoroughly familiar with all applicable regulations and company manuals, as required.
Be familiar with all necessary tooling, inspection aids, and techniques necessary to accomplish assigned tasks.
Clearly identify and document condition definitions of all discrepancies discovered during inspection functions and make the required maintenance entries.
Ensure that no defective, unserviceable, or un-airworthy parts are used on any components or articles released by Aspire MRO.
Prioritize daily work assignments according to schedule to the assigned inspection personnel.
Conduct ongoing surveillance of work in progress and of the facility to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, guidelines established by the company, regulatory agencies, and the Aspire MRO RSQCM.
Inspect all work supplied from outsourced certificated/uncertificated contractors to ensure that all materials supplied are within Aspire MRO and/or FAA acceptable standards.
Notify the Chief Inspector in a timely manner of any quality concerns and/or items related to airworthiness, to include making the appropriate maintenance entry on the associated document(s), as required.
Initiates FAA Form 8120-11 (SUP’s), as required.
Initiates FAA Form 8070-1 (Service Difficulty Report), as required.
Coordinate with production supervisory personnel to determine the priority areas requiring inspection to maintain continuity for required inspections.
Shall ensure the requirements of the RSQCM are properly communicated and followed.
When Aspire MRO requires working multiple shift operations shall ensure the Shift Turnover Report clearly communicates any pertinent information and maintain communication and continuity from shift to shift. Ensures that the turnovers are completed post shift (all Shifts) and filed daily.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Airframe & Power Plant license
5+ years of related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
FAR 145 Quality Control Maintenance knowledge or experience.
SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES:

Good knowledge of FAA regulations.
Understanding of Company operations.
Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities.

Must be able to understand, read, write and speak Standard English, including technical, aircraft and quality control-related vocabulary, for technical and general business correspondence and for producing work products.
Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes and procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor and, occasionally, outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and safety gear. The outdoor settings include airplane runways and parking lots. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. Occasionally lifts up to 100 lbs with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
TRAVEL: Travel may occasionally be required for this position (10% or less).
