The Quality Assurer role is placed within the Massmart Brands quality team and sets the quality strategy for Massmart Brands in clothing and Footwear categories, translating the customer expectations into clear product standards, supplier requirements, and scalable testing programs that protect brand trust and accelerate speed to shelf.

Qualification:
- Matric/Grade 12
- Fashion Design Degree or Diploma in Apparel, Quality Assurance & Control. This role will manage quality programs for Massmart Brands products in Fashion.
Experience:
- Retail Clothing and Footwear experience.
- 5+ years of quality assurance experience within retail. With demonstrated ownership of quality programs, supplier performance, and customer experience outcomes.
- Strong foundation in preventative quality systems (SMETA, audits, risk assessment) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment while balancing business priorities with quality risk.
- Strong analytical, Ai usage and critical-thinking skills; able to translate testing, supplier and customer data into insights, priorities and clear recommendations
- Executive-ready communication and stakeholder management skills to influence decisions across Product, Brand, and Sourcing-often without direct authority.
- Strong relationship-building skills with associates, suppliers, and third-party service providers to drive accountability and sustained performance.
- Strong proficiency with quality data and digital tools (Excel, Power BI, Ai tools) to build dashboards, automate reporting, and enable proactive risk management.
