Principal Quality Analyst/Quality Analyst Jobs in Linthicum, MD at Northrop Grumman

Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks a Quality Engineer. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the conformance of production systems and the sub-assemblies prior to shipment by collaborating with operations, program management, manufacturing, and engineering to improve production processes and system designs.

Responsibilities:

· Lead root cause analysis to reduce rework, improving production yields.

· Review and disposition non-conforming parts/systems.

· Identify opportunities to improve product manufacturability.

· Contribute to engineering change orders as necessary.

· Develop acceptance test plans and testing procedures in accordance with contract requirements and product specifications.

· Contribute to program’s engineering change proposals.

· Write test reports as necessary.

· Track and monitor production metrics yields, perform process capability.

· Conduct conformance verification, including scheduling, inspection, testing, and reporting.

· Complete conformance inspection failure investigations and identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

· Compile failure reports as necessary.

· Interface with customers during IPT meetings and program reviews as required.

· Perform internal audits and maintenance of the organization’s ISO 9001:2015 certification.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience as Quality Engineer, or a graduate degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

· In lieu of degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

· Technical knowledge in high volume manufacturing of electro-optical systems for defense application.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in statistical analysis and data interpretation.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

· Familiar with DoD contract requirements and interfacing with DCMA.

· Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Ability to move 25 pounds.
