Principal Software Engineer (Network Security – QA) Jobs in Santa Clara, CA at Palo Alto Networks
Job Summary:
Under supervision of Quality Control Manager performs inspections on parts for machining, sheet metal, assembly, AS9102 and First Article reporting and materials during receipt and prior to shipping to ensure compliance and company standards.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Inspects parts and materials to verify compliance to required specifications, dimensional, and visual characteristics.
Examines receiving and shipping documentation associated with the repair and assembly functions to verify accuracy and completeness.
Verifies finished products meet all specifications, dimensional, and visual characteristics required referencing the assembly and repair work orders, and customer’s specifications.
Be able to read and interpret various part drawings and customer specifications.
Uses test equipment such as gauges, calipers as needed to verify parts are in conformance to specifications.
Marks parts for rejection or acceptance.
Reports discrepancies to the QA Manager.
Must understand and follow pertinent policies and procedures relative to all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Practices, promotes and follows company safety standards.
Knowledge / Skills:
Knowledge of detail fabrication /metal manufacturing and processing and assembly manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and specifications.
Audit policies, and procedures compliance to current standards.
Computer skills.
Be capable of working with little or no supervision.
Have a strong work ethic and ability to meet production and quality standards.
Experience: Three years of experience in any related Mechanical field. Three years of experience in a machine shop environment. Experience in setting up and using PC-DMIS software a plus.
Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent education.
